Bayeux in northern France is well known for the eponymous tapestry depicting the Norman conquest of the XI century. You can see it in the Museum of Tapestry Bayeux. Cloth previously contained in the Cathedral of Bayeux, which still dominates the countryside looks like a Gothic wedding cake. Inside you will find beautiful frescoes and tombs that you will remember for a long time. Bayeux is an excellent starting point for excursions to the historical sites of World War II.
