The port city of Genoa has a rich history of many centuries. It is the sixth largest city in Italy, with Europe's largest old town. Via Garibaldi (formerly Strada Nuova) is known for many baroque palaces. In addition, the city is famous for its "karudzhi" (narrow streets).
